FINALLY! After a 12 day hiatus, I made it out paddling. I met up with Candy at Oliver Lake and even though I’ve been there at least a hundred times over the years, somehow, I managed to get lost on the way out. Regardless, after a quick phone call for directions and some backtracking, I eventually made it.

About 15 minutes into the paddle heading towards the west beach. Even though it was really calm on this side of the lake, things felt a bit “tippy” at first since I haven’t been paddling much this year.

We didn’t get to see much wildlife but there were a few other people kayaking, canoeing & sailing today.

I cropped this pic because the original looked a little too much like the typical MySpace self-portrait but… you can still see my arm and camera in the reflection of my sunglasses so if I ever decide to setup my own MySpace page, this pic should be acceptable by their “in-crowd”.

Can you see the face in the cliff?

Heading back to the beach. I forgot to bring my GPS with me but I think it is approximately 8km to paddle around the entire lake.
