The Grand Kam Canoe and Kayak Tour is coming up next month. I haven’t been able to participate in previous years but am looking forward to entering this year.

The event is in it’s fourth year and raises funds in support of the Thunder Bay Children’s Centre Foundation. There are two distance options for the tour: 5km and 20km. Paddlers in either tour must raise a minimum of $30 in pledges to cover the entry fee if registered before June 7th (after the 7th, it is a $40 entry fee). The participant raising the most pledges (minimum $500) will win a trip for two from WestJet. The person raising the second highest amount in pledges will win a bicycle courtesy of Petrie’s Cycle and Sport.
