Wilderness Supply will be hosting a Sea Kayak Symposium at Chippewa Park this summer.

Tentative Events Schedule & Camping Options:

Saturday July 12th:

• 8:00 AM: Sign-in @ Chippewa Park (field #4)
• 9:00- 12:00 Noon Morning Paddle on Lake Superior, weather permitting
• Clinics and demos at the main beach
• 12:00 -1:00 PM: Lunch Break (Catered)
• 1:00 to 6:00 PM: Clinics, Demos etc
• 6:00-7:00 PM: Supper…Corn boil. (Catered)
• 7:00- 9:00 PM: Presentations & slideshows.
• 9:00- 10:30 PM: Live Music and socializing.

Sunday July 13th:

• 9:00 AM: Morning paddle on Lake Superior, weather permitting.
• Clinics and demos at the main beach
• 12:00-1:00 PM: Break for lunch (lunches not provided on Sunday)
• 1:00-4:00 PM: Clinics, demos etc at the main beach.
• 4:00 PM: Kayak Race!
• 5:00 PM: Conclusion of the Symposium and draw PRIZES!

The schedule will be updated and finalized over the coming weeks and specific clinics and details will be announced soon.

Clinics will include topics such as:

• Basic Strokes
• Basis Rescues…self rescues and assisted rescues
• Women’s only clinics
• Rolling practice
• Paddling with Greenland paddles
• Advanced Strokes
